Tribute to my Cat

As I run my fingers through your velvet fur
I listen to the melody of your rumbling purr
Here every time I need somebody there
When I look at you, I know you care
It may be silly to those that don't understand
A cat is a friend and a love without end
Those big green eyes see right through me
And into my soul like you always knew me
Some may say you're nothing more than a pet
But no one else tries making me happy if I'm upset
More than I can say for general people out there
Humans often so selfish and many don't care
There is something about that feline spirit
If you think I'm crazy, I choose not to hear it
After the day is said and done
When it comes to a soul mate...
My cat is the one!
